Post-Event Mobility and Evacuation Analysis

The evacuation analysis is referenced in the thesis’s discussion of mobility failures during the 2023 fire. Dead-end streets turned into trap points, with residents funneled back toward impassable routes. The proposed mobility framework inverts this condition: every street now connects to the arterial spine, removing trap points, and any point inside the re-densification zone has at least two independent egress routes.
